If your UPS displays a battery warning or replacement notification, perform a battery self-test to check the condition of the battery and UPS before replacing it.
In some cases, a UPS may have been installed recently but its battery may have spent an extended period in storage before installation, which can shorten its effective lifespan.
Perform a Manual Self-Test
- Make sure the UPS is plugged into AC power and turned on.
- Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3-5 seconds.
- Release the button when you hear a beep.
During the test, the UPS will briefly switch to battery mode and check the battery condition and internal electronics.
The test normally takes approximately 5–10 seconds.
Understanding the Result
- Single beep / normal light
The self-test passed and the battery is operating normally. - Continuous beeping or warning LED
The battery may need to be replaced.
If the UPS continues to display a battery warning after completing the self-test, contact Trackman Support with the result of the test so we can determine whether a replacement battery is needed.
