Radars | How to Remove the Power Cable

Removing the Power Cable

  1. Use a screwdriver to remove or loosen the screws securing the top panel of the radar unit.
  2. Lift and open the top panel carefully to access the internal components and wiring.
  3. Locate the power cable connector inside the radar unit.
The connector is positioned near the internal wiring and mounted hardware.
  4. Using the screwdriver, loosen and partially unscrew the additional screws below the connector area in order to gain access to the screws holding the power cable in place.
  5. Remove the screws securing the power cable connection/bracket.
  6. Carefully move surrounding cables aside if needed to gain clear access to the connector.
  7. Hold the power connector by the plastic connector housing.
Do not pull directly on the cable itself.
  8. Gently disconnect the power cable from the radar by pulling the connector straight out.
If necessary, slightly wiggle the connector while pulling carefully.
  9. Confirm that the connector is fully disconnected from the radar power port.
  10. Leave the cable disconnected for a few seconds before continuing with troubleshooting.

Reconnecting the Power Cable

  1. Push the power connector firmly back into place until fully seated and secure.
  2. Reinstall and tighten the screws securing the power cable connection/bracket.
  3. Verify that the connection is stable and not loose.
  4. Reposition any cables moved during the procedure and ensure they are neatly arranged.
  5. Retighten the additional screws below the connector area using the screwdriver.
  6. Carefully close the top panel of the radar unit.
  7. Reinstall and tighten the top panel screws using the screwdriver.
  8. Power on the radar and confirm that the unit starts and operates correctly after reconnecting the power cable.
